Danger. Harmful if swallowed. Causes severe skin burns and eye damage. Suspected of causing genetic damage. Wear personal protective equipment. IF ON SKIN (or hair): Immediately remove all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. IF ON EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. IF EXPOSED OR AFFECTED: Get medical attention/care.

| Application
|
1. Place 1 mL of Pandy reagent into the watch glass and place the watch glass on a black background.
2. Add 1 drop of CSF onto the Pandy reagent in the watch glass.
3. Observation of distinct cloudiness and severe turbidity indicates Pandy (+).
4. Pandy (+) indicates an increase in globulin in CSF. |
| Theoretical Results |
If there is significant cloudiness or severe turbidity, the Pandy test is positive; if not, it is negative. A positive Pandy test indicates an increase in globulin in the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF).
