Danger. Causes serious skin burns and eye damage. Do not breathe dust/fumes/gas/mist/vapors/spray. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. IF ON SKIN (or hair): Immediately remove all contaminated clothing. Rinse skin with water/shower. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. |
| Application
|
1. Add 5 ml of Fehling-I Solution (GBL Stock Code 453131020500) and 5 ml of Fehling-II Solution (GBL Stock Code 453128020500) to a test tube and boil over an open flame.
NOTE: If there is no contamination in the tube or solutions, no color change will occur.
2. Add an equal amount of sugar solution to this mixture and boil again.
3. In the presence of glucose, the blue color of the Fehling solutions turns yellow-red. |
